Joseph finally asked and this time he is very determined for it to happen. Its not that he didn't asked me before. In fact he asked me a couple of times already but well with his obligations things didn't materialize. I am happy of course but I don't know, I think I should feel ecstatic. Its not because it is not the wedding of my dreams, no. I have long ago accepted the fact that I won't have that. I am sure though of the fact that I want it too as much as he does, I guess maybe because of the fact that its long overdue that well, I am no longer jumping for joy. But this time around we are both more cautious in announcing it to our families especially my side of the family. I know my parents have been praying for this for long and I know that they will be very happy. I just don't want them to expect too much again because of the fact that we have been announcing this forever since 2006 and its now a year prior to the Mayan calendar's end of the world! Hello! I wanted to kid Joseph that probably the reason why he is determined this time is because of that simple end-of-days tale of the year 2012!
Okay, now after writing about this, I suddenly had a small surge of excitement in me. Hahaha! before he left today for work, he told me that instead of checking on my FB account why don't I just write my to-do list. And because like what I said I am not feeling the vibe yet, I asked him curiously, "anong to-do list?" (hahaha!) and from the sound of his voice, he sounded I don't know hurt, insulted. Then he told me, "kala mo nagjo-joke lang ako? kala mo ba di ako seryoso ngayon? sobra ka naman.." yeah, well thinking about it now, I guess he is genuinely hurt (Awwww, papu, I am sorry!)
Hah! On my third paragraph now and I am definitely feeling the vibe this time! Hehehe.. Anyway, I have a notebook on my bag yet I hate writing on paper. I mostly keep this laptop which isn't mine by the way but I am too lazy to keep the to-do list here, primarily because my sisters might see! They can be really sneaky! Its not the time to tell them yet. I have to check some schedules first - mine (since I am about to start working anytime soon), Joseph's, the priest and if the church allows simple church wedding on Dec.31st, other small details as well. Its basically just gonna be a family thing as in priest, Joseph & I and our families. Since its a holiday we'll just have to cook the meals to share with our families after. That simple. What's important is that we legitimize our union. I just hope its that simple since it is just a really plain & simple church wedding ceremony..
Hmm, might as well list them down so I wont forget..
Things to check & do:
~ schedule
mine -- work if available on the 31st
church & priest
~ ask church where confirmations are held
~ rings
